TRP Touches Ep. 11
Well Pleased
Before our Savior Jesus Christ was recognized as the Messiah or began His public ministry He arrives on the river banks of the Jordan in AD 27 just as the prophets foretold (Dan. 9:26,27) to be baptized by John the baptist. Can you imagine a man baptizing GOD! The thought makes you cringe or at least ponder. John himself said earlier he was not worthy to even latch the Saviors sandals (Matt.3:11) but it was Jesus, the Son of GOD, who humbled Himself because if there was anyone who ever walked this earth that didn't need to be baptized it was Him. But Jesus said, Suffer or allow it to be so now: to fulfil all righteousness."
After our Savior was baptized (as an example for all those who will follow His life) the Bible says that the heavens were opened up and He saw the Spirit of GOD descending like a dove, upon Him and the voice of His father said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Matt. 3:17 Before Jesus preached a sermon or performed one miracle GOD was already pleased with Him and announced this fact to the world!
For all who believe and follow Christ's example GOD is also well pleased with you before you do anything else for Him always know you are acknowledged, accepted, and loved! Allow His life to touch you and then share this with others that they too can follow the example of Jesus and begin an amazing new life of commitment for GOD! Congratulations to TRP's Taylor, Nazereth, Gianna, & Malaika who were just baptized yesterday!!
